NPL WATER BUDDIES

Creating a consumer digital experience beyond packaging

In order to keep leadership on kids segment and get around Danone protected design, the pack team created a unique registered design which is adaptable to various characters. The NPL Water Buddies bottle is a 33cl PET bottle with a full body shrink sleeve to represent different characters of kid’s favorite new movies. Launched in Spain in 2017 with a roll out in several markets such as Poland, China, France, USA and Pakistan.

Creating value through packaging and differentiation through digital is key to create a competitive gap.

In order to keep its leadership on kids segment, I managed to create a digital consumer experience beyond packaging. Using Augmented reality, the app. prototype offers a new level of consumer engagement. At home, in store or on the go, this digital consumer experience creates brand awarness and boost consumer engagement in an exciting way at no packaging cost added.

It also foster repurchasing, increases sales with mobile and enable NPL to regain ownership of the consumer experience.
